We will start with the Pre-Birthday Weekend (yes we are dragging this out as long as we can!). On Friday for lunch, the twins and I set out to tackle the fair with some friends for lunch. Remember, last year I was released from bedrest and hit the fair up with my girlfriends to try to eat and walk the babies out! How fitting to take them back this year so we could enjoy it together! I felt sooo much better this year than last year walking around! haha The twins did great and despite no nap and having to eat on the go in the stroller. (and yes, please notice the twins sporting the conservative, Republican stickers thanks to Aunt Caitlin who wouldn't walk with us unless we displayed proudly. We had to move Jenna's to her jeans...she wanted to...surprise...eat hers. :))
Caden helping himself to some of my FRIED COOKIE DOUGH. Yes, it is as good and unhealthy as you are imagining right now.
Jenna is a fan of the cookie dough!
It is definitely a whole new level of stroller skill driving that thing around the state fair with thousands of people! I felt like I should have earned a special license or certificate for not cutting anyones ankles in front of me:)
Saturday morning we had a visit from Nana and Papa and lots of tools! Ryan's parents got the twins an A Frame Set to hang their swings from for part of their birthday. Ryan and I bought the swings for next to nothing at the Twin Consignment Sale in August but had no where to hang them. Yea Nana and Papa!
As usual, the boys had to take a trip to Lowes before they even began to get the right parts :) But they made steady progress with only a few missing or "extra" parts :) We got it all set up ready to go and placed in the perfect spot right as the twins woke up from their nap. Of course we had to try it out...make sure it was level...and so on and so on :) As expected the twins LOVED it. I'm so glad we have some swings in our backyard for them to enjoy! We went with a simple frame so it would be easier to move if our house sells. We didn't want the super delux swing set 1000 until we are in a more permanent, long term house. Its perfect! Thanks Nana and Papa!
And then Saturday afternoon we headed down to good ole CU again to watch a volleyball game! The twins loved it. We had so much fun. The twins even got on the big video screen due to their cuteness :)
Caden definitely had the hang of cheering and clapping when we got a point...actually when either team got a point :)
How cute is that! Makes you just want to eat her (Jenna, not Robin :) )
No kids, neither your Mama nor your Pops played on this floor. We had the nasty, falling apart, asbestos, cobwebbed, not-up-to-code gym to play sports in :)
What a fun weekend! Love the swing frame, love the pic of the 4 of you, but love even more that you introduced the twins to the fair :) Yay!!!
