Anyway, when we came home from break, we still had 7 inches in parts of our yard from Christmas/New Years (when the high doesn't get out of the 20's for weeks straight, not much melts...) So, we did the parental duty of layering and bundling the kids up to go play in the snow while Easton was napping one day when Daddy got home from work. Nightmare for us, delight for the kids :) We had a great time watching their first real interaction with snow. But first, Dad had to go buy a snow shovel/salt and clear our driveway. Oh what fun!
Jenna loved it immediately and went exploring across the yard with no troubles... Caden was content to stand there for a long time and laugh like jolly old Santa! He eventually got brave to try walking in it with some help from Mom and Dad.
Yes, Caden thought it was hilarious that Jenna kept falling down...
And now...it has snowed the past two days. We get a "break" today, then it will snow the next 2-3 days again......Looks like I should have invested in real snow boots and gloves for our winter up here. Here is a video of what I get to hear alot of lately...and it is definitely a point in the good memory column for Ohio. You can't help but smile when you hear "biiiiiiiggg snooow" every time your kids walk by the window. (and this particular snow ended up being 3 inches in a short amount of time...it doesn't look too impressive in the video...)
And the last video: it's funny how you don't have to teach reciprocation in a snowball fight :). And then what do you get when you add a puppy + snow = puppy IN the snow which also = estatic twins.
