Two by Two - the Twins turn 2!

I've known what the twins' 2nd birthday theme would be for a looong time. I came across the idea of Noah's Ark "two by two" for twins when I was looking for ideas for their 1st birthday. I've been excited about it for over a year now! Get a life, I know.

Anyway, due to the state of our life at the time (In Ohio, yucky pregnancy sick and just plain worn out), I opted to let someone else do most of the work this year :) I found this gal on Etsy who had these party packages specifically for twins and the Noah's Ark theme! Perfect. All I had to do was print the stuff out and hang it. Even more perfect. Since we planned our trip around celebrating the twins' birthday with friends and family in NC, we had to find a place to host it since we are homeless in NC currently :) Since we celebrated early, we thought outside, with a playground would appease kids and parents. It turned out great! We had such a wonderful time being with those who love our kids so much. Great birthday memories!

In love with how their invitations turned out!

There was only one option for cupcakes...WHOLE FOODS!

Caden's cupcake!

Jenna's cupcake!

Of course we had to have Zoo Pal Plates!

Our "Rainbow" fruit...can't forget the rainbow in the story of Noah's Ark!

What a look!

Did I mention the playground was a hit? :)

Jenna is my girl! She dug into her cupcake whole heartedly

Hilarious.

Receiving their favorite gift of the night....a ball.

We were so glad Mema and Pape could come. We love them!

Jenna's giraffe

Caden's lion

Found these cute animal cups for favors

"Rainbow Fruit" and "Zebra Cakes"

All of the food had an animal theme of course...Sweedish Fish, Animal Crackers, Zebra Cakes, Goldfish.."

Caden wouldn't let go of my giraffe decoration! And sidenote...how I miss those curls!!!!

Forgotten Fall

Soooooo now that it is Christmas Season, Im' catching up on some things we did this fall. (It has been a whirlwind October and November folks...a little grace, please :) ) Anyway, this is really just for me to document the fun memories we made this fall before Craziness 3.0 took over our lives.

First...I got sneaky with my girlfriend Amber and we decided to surprise our husbands with a boys weekend in the big OH. So after a few close slip ups, we pulled it off and managed to get the final piece of the puzzle to drive up and join them so it could be a complete boys weekend. :)

Driving down to Ohio is never fun...esp 33 weeks pregnant. But we made it...a few scars to show for it, but we made it:) A hotel with two tired kids is always fun.....insert sarcasm. (and people wonder why we want to drive to drive thru the night when we come home for Christmas - two 2-yr olds AND a newborn? nope.)

We got to spend alot of time with Nana and Papa so we went to parks, played outside and went to our first Pumpkin Patch! We covered every square inch of that place and had a blast! Sweet, sweet memories made.....except for maybe the big, black slide :) Hilarious video to come.

Could this picture be any more precious!?

I could eat him...

Trying a new way to swing..

Love my kids!!! When other kids came into the jumphouse, they ran together and went and sat in the corner.

Jenna got the hang of it in 2.4 seconds...Caden? bless his heart. nope.

We celebrated sweet Adelaide's birthday...

We became best friends with BDB (Bad Dream Buster {the dog}...ask Robin...) Rode around the neighborhood in Papa T's new truck! (barely went 1 mph and no one drives in the back of my parents neighborhood), played with Uncle Brent and Aunt Courtney, and had fun ice cream parties at Aunt Alice's house.

I humbly demanded (is there such a thing?) that we be in NC to celebrate the twins 2nd birthday this year. Enough of being up here away from friends and family...I wanted to celebrate my babies with people we knew! My kids' birthdays are a big deal to me so I like to do them up big! So, if your going to the trouble of flirting with the "non-travel" rule for high risk pregnancies, might as well make it worth your trip! So the twins and I stayed for 2 weeks while Ryan traveled back and forth so he could work ;(

It is SO nice to know where Home is...let me just say. We miss it. Alot. But moving on....we jam packed a ton of fun in with friends and family so my sweet babies could get spoiled rotten with attention from grandparents and family :) (turns out this was a good thing - they got their cup full of attention down in NC since I was put on bedrest when we got back and couldn't play. oopps). Thank goodness they play together well ... most of the time :)

Mommy broke some rules and went Trunk or Treating with my Super Hero's. Could.not.stop.staring.at.them! Adorable!

Our other twin friends up here. I love how they both stuck with their own twin...no twin cross-contamination! haha

Took the twins to get their first hair cut...Jenna was super fine with it (of  course)...Caden? He cried the entire time. NOT a fan (of course).

and after...he looks like a toddler now...such a big boy!

Wonder what they are doing? They are watching it SNOW the day before Halloween!!!!
All in all, Happy Fall, Ya'll! :)

Up next....the twins 2nd Birthday Party (and some pictures of the forgotten child...Baby Easton!).
